What I Believe

I’m a Type-A who is obsessed with the details, which can lead to some pretty amazing things. On the other hand, it also means I have a hard time with situations I can’t control. But I’ve found a way to navigate this helpless feeling. How? I plant seeds.

My theory on planting seeds is simple. When something is out of control in your life, you always have control over one thing — your attitude. Every time you handle a situation in what you feel is the right way, you plant a seed. Every time you help someone else, send an e-mail, take that first yoga class, etc., you plant a seed. It’s about taking the first step toward the life you really want. It’s about starting small, and working hard daily, to make your garden — your life — become exactly what you want.

I have started on a journey to plant more seeds in my life. (You can read about it here: How Planting a Seed Can Change Your Life) This blog is one of those seeds. And because it’s about the steps I’m taking to create my dream life, I couldn’t be more excited to watch it grow.

Faith sees a beautiful blossom in a bulb,
a lovely garden in a seed,
and a giant oak in an acorn.”
